Dr. Côté grew up in the Gatineau-Ottawa region, where he was 9 years old. Dr. Côté received his high school degree from Grande-Rivière High School in 1996 and completed his collegiate training at CÉGEP de l’Outaouais thereafter. His capital to become an orthodontist involved memorable experiences living in the continent, he chose to become a member of the National Capital Region.

In 1998, Dr. Côté moved to Montreal at McGill University. He excelled in this field of study and received several important honors:

  • Named to the Dean’s Honor List each year of the program;
  • Awarded the American Association of Orthodontists and American Academy of Periodontology prizes;
  • Awarded the Dr. James EG Harrison Faculty Scholarship for demonstrating the most firm commitment to the ethical practice of dentistry through interactions with patients and colleagues;
  • Awarded the John K. Carver Prize by the ODQ (Ordre des dentistes du Québec) for his outstanding academic performance.

At his graduation ceremony in 2003, Dr. Côté was bestowed on the title of DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine). General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas. During this post-graduate residency program, he received advanced training in all areas of dentistry, with particular emphasis on pediatric care.

In 2004, Dr. Côté returned home to Gatineau where he worked as a general dentist in the private sector for three years. He devoted much of his practice to the treatment of patients who were fearful of dental procedures, and he received pediatric referrals from his colleagues as a general dentist. Despite being passionate about all areas of dentistry, Dr. Côté developed a special fondness for orthodontics, and he therefore made it difficult to achieve orthodontic orthodontics.

In 2007, Dr. Côté left Gatineau for Edmonton to pursue his specialty studies in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Alberta. He selected this school for its renowned orthodontics program which offers one of the most modern and comprehensive clinical curriculums in the world. He again excelled in his studies and was awarded the Advanced Education Heritage Scholarship for exceptional academic achievement. He graduated with a Diploma in Orthodontics (Dip Ortho) and Master of Science (MSc) degree in 2010, and he completed one year of orthodontic private practice in Alberta thereafter.

Dr. Côté prides himself in the ever-changing field of orthodontics so that he may always offer the best possible treatment options to all patients. He is passionate about his work and feels the best way to go home.
