Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) in Orthodontics

Increasing the Realm Possibilities

TADs are temporary titanium mini-pins that are placed between the roots of teeth to assist with special tooth movements that can be required in complex cases. Their placement and removal is done right in our office – the procedure is quick, simple and comfortable, and topical anesthetic alone is all that is generally required.

This new cutting-edge technology has made possible what was previously impossible without extractions or surgery. TADs have thus greatly reduced the number of orthodontic patients who must see an oral surgeon for concurrent surgical treatments.
