Meet the Orthodontist in Hull

Dr. Côté grew up in the Gatineau-Ottawa area, his parents having established  their family of three children in the Aylmer area when he was 9 years old. He graduated from Grande-Rivière High School in 1996 and completed his college training in Pure Science at the CÉGEP de l'Outaouais afterwards. Although the path to becoming an orthodontist led him to live in different places on the continent, the choice of the ultimate place to establish his practice was an easy decision - it would be in the beautiful region that he and his family have always considered at home. itself.

In 1998, Dr. Côté moved to Montreal to pursue his dental education at McGill University. He distinguished himself in this field of study and received several important honors:

  • Registered on the Dean's Honor Roll each year of the program;
  • Winner of the American Association of Orthodontists and American Academy of Periodontology awards;
  • Winner of the Dr. James Harrison Harrison Faculty Scholarship Scholarship for demonstrating the strongest commitment to professional ethics in dentistry through its interactions with patients and colleagues;

In 2004, Dr. Côté returned to Gatineau to practice general dentistry in private practice for three years. He devoted much of his practice to treating patients who had a fear of dental procedures, and he was receiving pediatric credentials from his colleagues even as a general dentist himself. In doing so, he developed a special interest in orthodontics, so he made the difficult decision to end his career as a general dentist and return to school full-time for three years to become an orthodontic specialist, or otherwise says, an orthodontist.

In 2007, Dr. Côté left Gatineau for Edmonton to pursue his specialty studies in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Alberta. He chose this school because of his renowned program which offers one of the most comprehensive practical curricula in the world. He further distinguished himself in his field of study and earned the Advanced Education Heritage Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement, and received a Specialization Diploma in Orthodontics (Dip Ortho) and a Master of Science (MSc). ) for his research on maxillary expansion. He is a Certified Orthodontist and a member of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada [FRCD (C)], and has also practiced in private orthodontic practice in Alberta before recovering permanently in Gatineau.

Dr. Côté is committed to staying up to date with new developments in the evolving field of orthodontics while maintaining a mastery of traditional approaches. By combining methods with modern materials and techniques, he strives to provide the best possible care options for each patient. He is passionate about his profession and feels more fortunate to be able to do what he loves in the beautiful region that he and his family have always called home. He is deeply involved in the future of his career.
